Community Prenatal Yoga
Meet other future moms from Harlem and the Upper West Side, and feel more comfortable and confident during your pregnancy in Harlem Yoga Studio’s Donation Only prenatal yoga classes. This class teaches movements and yoga poses to strengthen and tone the muscles and organs needed for labor and delivery and to alleviate common discomforts such as swelling, back pain, constipation and varicose veins. An emphasis is placed on soothing, relaxing breath work and meditation, giving you space to connect deeply with your innate wisdom to nurture your baby and to enjoy the miraculous process of pregnancy and birth.
Community Prenatal Yoga Schedule
Community Yoga is an Open Level Yoga Class designed to be affordable to everyone in the community. Classes are donation only and include a mix of sun salutations with multiple variations. Options are given for more advanced strengthening and balancing poses, twists, backbends and forward bends, and inversions. Each class will include a brief centering and meditation, a focus on breathing practices (pranayama) and a guided deep relaxation to seal in the benefits of the asana.
